Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A query entered in a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the name or case number and supplies its own results. Santa Cruz County Court Docket does not keep a local log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If a visitor sends an email, the message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain ordinary correspondence records. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Standard server and analytics systems may record technical facts when a page loads:
- Device IP address
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent
- Referring website, when supplied
- Date and time of each request
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files that can help measure page use and site performance. Analytics services may combine visits into broad traffic reports. A browser can reject or delete cookies, though certain page features may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
Collected technical data is used only for routine site and service functions:
- Operating pages and improving load speed
- Routing a requested search to the selected provider
- Understanding which reference pages are useful
- Finding abuse, errors, and technical faults
- Supporting advertising displayed on the website
No Court-Record Data on File
Santa Cruz County Court Docket does not host or sell a database of local docket entries or personal case records. It publishes instructions for locating records through the Clerk of the Superior Court in Santa Cruz County, Justice and Municipal Courts, Arizona Public Access, and eAccess. The website is not a consumer reporting agency, and ordinary visitor information is not compiled into reports about other people.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search tools embedded on some pages. Information entered there is controlled by the provider’s own privacy policy, including its retention and disclosure terms. Visitors should review that policy before submitting a query because this website cannot direct the provider’s handling of data.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Arizona courts, Santa Cruz County offices, municipal pages, or other services. The destination’s policy applies after a visitor leaves this website. Advertising services may also use their own systems to measure activity across websites.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. Limited data may be available to:
- A search provider handling a query
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks placing or measuring ads
- A government body acting under valid legal process
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used for information under the site’s control. No internet service can promise absolute security, so a breach or unauthorized access cannot be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly seek personal information from minors. Information identified as having been provided by a person under 18 may be removed when the situation is verified.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may allow a visitor to request access to personal data, correct it, ask for deletion, or object to certain processing. Arizona court records follow a different system: Arizona Supreme Court Rule 123 governs judicial records, and ACJA §1-604 governs remote electronic access. A request concerning an official case record must go to the court that holds it.
- Request access to personal data held by this website
- Ask that inaccurate information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits
- Object to eligible processing activities
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as practices, services, or legal requirements change. A new version becomes effective when posted here with an updated date.
